So yesterday was our 10 year anniversary. With no where to go Ryan really made it a special day for me. He included the kids in most of the celebrating, seeing as how the kids are a huge part of our 10 years together. He told me he was going to make dinner and I was so excited because usually that means steak and potatoes with the possibility of shrimp. So I hardly ate all day in great anticipation for my delicious anniversary dinner. Well, I got called downstairs and after a really nice presentation from Ryan and the kids I was presented with my anniversary dinner.

I gotta say, it was not at all what I was expecting. In fact, it was very disappointing. Now wait, before you think Ryan is a total putz hear me out. He told me as part of including the kids he asked each of them what their favorite foods were and then made each of those for us. It was actually quite sweet and I really appreciated having the kids involved and excited for us. I did eat everything, except the Cocoa Puffs. I don't like them, but I choked one down because it was hurting Maybe's feelings. See, he's really not a putz. He put a lot of thought into it. He also got me a gift which made me bawl. We don't really do anniversary gifts so I was pretty surprised. You'll have to ask me in person what it was because trying to write it down will cheapen it. No, really. Oh, and we did find a sitter so tomorrow we're going out to celebrate, just the two of us. I'm thinking steak and potatoes....

I found this picture on Ryan's phone. I guess this is what they do when they run errands together. I kinda hope he needs glasses now because he's adorable.

I am so grateful for my kids and how they have each stepped up to help during this not so easy time.

Summer has meant many many sleepovers in the family room. I hope they grow up and remember this.

Summer has also meant this poor girl can't catch a break. Everytime one of her face owies heal, she goes out and gets a new one. I've been trying for a month to get her nice photos taken because she hasn't had it done since she was 1.

And this happened Saturday. I've been dreading it for months. My baby is looking less and less like a baby. It was dangling by a root for weeks and she wouldn't pull it out. She went to get Freddy out of his crib and he bumped her and it popped right out. Her big girl tooth was already out so she won't have a gap for long.

And just in case you care, I'm 28 weeks and 4 days. Yes, days count in my situation. Each day means a healthier baby girl. At my last appointment the doc said she was measuring slightly big. Awesome! The pregnancy has actually calmed down and I'm off all restrictions, however, if I bleed again they will probably put me in the hospital until the baby comes. So, yes I'm off restrictions, but I need to be careful because that would not be okay. So being off restrictions is great, but the bedrest caused me to have muscle/ligament problems so I can't walk much or get around so I'm still kinda on bedrest. I'm in constant pain. Even when I'm sitting I'm throbbing. I've been to the chiropractor 3 times and I am seeing some improvement so cross your fingers he can fix me.

Tomorrow is our 10 year anniversary. We dated for 4 years and we are just amazed it has been 14 years! We had plans to go on a short trip, but obviously it's not going to happen this year. I can't be very far from the hospital. Lame! Here's to hoping it will work out in the next few years. Ryan deserves my attention without competing with the kids.

The night before Ryan had his head cut open in 2007.

You know when you look up and your kids are all lined up sitting peacefully and looking cute and you and your husband say to each other we can't not take a photo of this so you get out your camera and this is what you end up with? This picture is reality. I'm convinced that anyone who has the perfectly lined up picture with their kids must have photoshopped it.

Can you tell who napped?

In case you are interested, as long as my body behaves I can go off bedrest Monday and graduate to "light activity". Light being the key word.
