Today I got a glimpse of what could be for these sisters. Savannah wrote this at school about her sister.

I took three of my buddies to the Grand Canyon for spring break this year. It was amazing.

What do you do when you're done with a puzzle? Ryan had this great idea and it worked great! We all did it, even Brightyn, although because she's a little short she hit the corner and lost a few pieces which is why we had her go last. Go ahead and try it, but you have to film it.

Over Memorial Day weekend I took the kids camping down to San Rafael Swells, fishing on the Green River and hiking in Goblin Valley.

Just a few more from Disneyland. I think we are starting to have withdrawals from not being there anymore. Perhaps if spring would come and the snow and cold would quit we would be okay staying put.

I'm too lazy to caption each picture, but I'll explain the last two. The lego store had a gray bunny that someone had built, so we had to take a picture of it for inspiration. Perhaps we were just missing RJ. The very last pic is after our trip to Walmart the first night we got there. California charges you 10 cents a bag at the grocery stores and we weren't really feeling like paying so we loaded up our car with loose groceries. I mean, you already feel ripped off spending thousands for a Disney vacation and for some reason that extra dollar worth of bags was just too much. Hey, we all have our thing, right?

Me and Ryan visited the Los Angeles Temple in August of 2006. I was about a month pregnant with Seth. This past Disney trip we walked the kids around the same temple and so of course we had to recreate the photo, with Seth about to turn 12. Crazy what has happened between these two photos. We tried to get Seth to curl up in a ball on my lap but he wouldn't quite go for it.

We just got back from our California vacation. The kids have been putting their money towards this trip for about the last year, so this was truly a family trip that we all sacrified and saved for. So much more meaningful!

I'm just going to post some photos, no speicific order. These aren't even the ones from Ryan's phone so if I get ambitious I'll post a part two.

We left Friday afternoon at 2:20 (we were shooting for 2:00 so I'm calling that a win!) and drove to St. George for dinner, then we continued to Las Vegas. We drove up and down and back up the strip for fun and then checked into our hotel. We stayed in the tower at the Luxor. It was so so nice! For the first time we got two adjoining rooms (boys room and girls room) and we all slept so well. We took our time getting ready in the morning, discovered Jack In The Box (best cheap breakfast for a large family), did a little touristy stuff then continued on to Anaheim.

The drive in was rainy and windy and a little treacherous at times, but we made it. We rented a townhouse and it was perfect. Spacious and comfy. We got settled, went for pizza, and then teased the kids a little by going to Downtown Disney. Sunday morning we went to church and then went to LA. We walked around the temple, went to Griffith Observatory, drove down all the famous Hollywood streets, Bel-Aire, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, Sunset Blvd., then headed to the stars walkway. We found some fun stars, ate dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and sat down just in time to watch the half-time show. We walked around a little more then headed to try and get closer to the famous Hollywood sign. The girls were dying to see it up close, but it was so rainy and over cast we weren't able to see it from the observatory. We drove up the windiest, narrowest streets in the Hollywood hills, just to get to the perfect spot and it was too overcast to see it. We could see the spotlights for each letter and that was it. So sad =(. Goals for next time I guess. We took a wrong turn back to Anaheim and ended up at the ocean. It was way to dark to see it, but hey, we made it.

Monday was the big day! Disneyland! We spent Monday through Friday rotating between Disney and California Adventure. We stayed until after midnight on Friday. I guess we just couldn't pull ourselves away.

Saturday we packed up, checked out, and headed to Huntington Beach. If I'd known the kids were going to love the ocean so much I would have let them put the swimsuits on and play longer. We walked to the end of the pier, ate at Ruby's, then back to the car. We drove to St. George for the night. We didn't have to check out until 1:00 so we took our time, went swimming, ate at Jack In The Box one more time, then home. We got home around 6:00 and still had plenty of time to relax before we had to get back to reality Monday morning. It was so fun and just the break I think we all needed.
